The Digital Revolution

The Digital Revolution

The digital revolution which is known as the third industrial revolution, is mainly the sign of the change from mechanical technology to basically digital electronics which mainly began anywhere from the late 1950s to the late 1970s. This was mainly the adoption of digital computers and digital record keeping that is still continuing today. From when the digital revolution started technology has flourished and has become an important part of everyday life. Most items or products today have a piece of technology inside them which makes them do certain things that items back when the digital age started could not.

What is mainly central to the revolution of technology is the mass of production and widespread use of digital logic circuits which are used in things such as computers, cellular phones and also the internet. Unlike older machines digital computers can be reprogrammed to fit any purpose that it basically needs to.
